The Scion Music(less) Music Conference of 2012 featured insights from some of the metal world’s top creative and industry thinkers. At the conference, several hundred invited guests came to Hollywood to take in panels, workshops and interviews about music’s most pressing issues and to find out about new directions where they can take their careers.
Frank Kozik and Jermaine Rogers dropped knowledge on the business side of music’s visual art world. Prolific director David Brodsky talked about how to make a video that will stand up to the power of the song. Rennie Jaffe of Relapse Records broke down the importance of merchandising in metal. Dave Sweetapple of Tee Pee Records and Roadburn Records covered the fundamentals of selling vinyl online.
